Kidney, acting as one important organ in our body, controls water, hormone and waste within our body.
In TCM, The kidney is the organ of water and fire, the abode of yin and yang, the sea of essence, and it determines life and death. Kidney governs and promotes the function of spleen, lung and liver.
Often, weak kidney leads to poor “Qi”, poor memory and determination. In fertility matters, kidney weakens reproductive system, infertility, which also lead to miscarriage.
Problems like hair loss, back-ache, constipation, and aging are often seen after child-birth, in which kidney are weaken during pregnancy and labour. Hence, we often emphasize in nourishing and strengthening kidney during post-birth to gain utmost recovery. Not only so, poor kidney “Qi” often cripples hormone regulation that potentially lead to mood swing (depression), poor appetite and poor breast-milk supply due to inability of kidney to store essence from food and deliver to all part of body.
